Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed academic writing, impacting everything from research formulation to the publication of scientific articles. This study analyzes the ethical, methodological, and regulatory implications of AI use, highlighting challenges related to authorship, originality, and the reliability of texts. Using a qualitative and exploratory approach, the research is based on a literature review and documentary analysis of studies on AI in scientific production. The results indicate that, although AI enhances the efficiency and accessibility of academic writing, its uncontrolled use may compromise the integrity of publications. Given this, it is essential for academic institutions to establish clear guidelines for AI use, ensuring transparency, rigorous review, and proper authorship attribution. It is concluded that AI can be a valuable ally in research, provided its use is conducted responsibly, without replacing critical thinking and human creativity.
