Abstract

The article discusses the importance of mediation in the history of media and the recent communicative changes driven by the rise of Artificial Intelligence. Mediation is analyzed as a process of expanding technical means and their interrelations with sociocultural changes. The article is based on the extension project "MemórIA" from UFJF, which aims to promote media education and critical thinking in young people using AI. The actions aim to prepare students to deal with technological reality and develop critical skills in a highly connected, misinformation-rich environment.
