Midiatização e dinâmica global de captura da atenção: perspectivas sobre a constituição de processos decoloniais em prol do comum a partir da comunicação comunitária
Keywords:

This article aims to initiate discussions on the ongoing process of mediatization, based on an analysis of the constitution of the attention economy. Historical and sociocultural processes demonstrate that the history of the media is closely tied to the flows of human attention—how it is directed, captured, and contested. With globalization and the intensification of mediatization across multiple areas of everyday life, these flows have become the object of increasingly fierce discursive disputes. As part of an extended research project on the subject, this article seeks to offer reflections on the field of attention, focusing on communicative actions developed by peripheral voices that aim to enhance the visibility of local collective causes within a scenario of ongoing struggles for society’s collective attention.
