Other bicycle travel considerations, semioses and cyclotouristic narratives
Keywords:
Semiosis, Narratives, Cyclotouristic narratives, Cycling tourismAbstract
In the article, reflections on the concepts of “cyclotouristic semioses” and “cyclotouristic narratives” are broadened and complexified. The hypothesis that moves us is that cyclotouristic semioses structure cyclotouristic narratives, or, from another angle, that the transformation of reports into media phenomena causes the emergence of identifiable narrative models as such. Here, the bicycle is considered to be a media phenomenon beforehand, therefore, it affects the symbolic expressive plane, which is a technical object, referring to the use made of it (tourism, work, etc.). Methodologically, the analysis will be carried out in an indexical manner, through examples of reports of this nature, chosen from the relevance of their authors / narrators. The clipping will be reports in books, films, posts on social networks, etc.
