Abstract

This article investigates the violence and peace’s stimulus on discourses involving racial issues published by G1 portal, as well as through the reception and interaction of readers in the online deliberation space in contact with the vehicle's profile on the social network Twitter. For the study, the first published aritcle about Miguel Case (a five-year-old child who suffered abandonment of  incapacitated that resulted in death by his mother's employer) was selected. Based on the methodology for assessing the quality of the deliberation in the online environment, we analyzed ten comments in answer to the publication on Twitter, observing the reaction and interaction among the public on the social network. The result points to the importance of contextualizing and addressing related to racial and social issues in journalism for the construction of narratives for peace.
