Hello, Hello Amazônia: A quantitative analysis of the king of radio

This article is an excerpt from a broader survey (Teixeira, 2019) that analyzed the program Alô, Alô Amazônia, from Rádio Difusora de Macapá. We seek to carry out a quantitative analysis of the paid messages (messages, invitations, announcements) produced by the listeners of the radio, seeking to understand in numbers, what are their main characteristics. We present the data from the analysis of 117 messages, in which we identified the genre that sends the most messages and the one that receives the most, in addition to indicating the day of the week with the highest flow of messages, the most collected monetary values and types of messages transmitted. The messages call attention to the river, its main avenue; for the genres that most send and receive messages, and for the amount of religious and sports messages that are part of the daily life and habits of the riverside residents.
