Mediatization of sexuality: the emergency of the counter-hegemonic narrative of asexuality in cyberspace
Keywords:
Narrative, Mediatization, AsexualityAbstract
This article exposes the result of the monographic study on the emergence of counter-hegemonic narratives in cyberspace. Counter-hegemonic narratives include those that are produced by groups that do not feel represented in the media or that create a discourse that goes against what is present in the hegemonic media, as is the case with the narrative of asexuality. The hypothesis that moved us is that this emergency takes place as a result of the process of mediatization and, in it, cyberspace. It was a case study, in which the object of study had ten excerpts that allow us to identify the evolution of the narrative of asexuality in the media, in the present article there will be the exposition of two of them.
