Abstract

The objective of the presentation is to describe the way hypermedia humor operates in the construction of a news event in a synchronous way. We call hypermedia humor the device instituted with social networks that generates continuous interpretants which make any social phenomenon laughable. In hypermediatic societies, this device occupies a central place in current production because its discursiveness reaches high levels of propagation and acts as a successful argumentative tool in the daily debates that take place on the networks. The case study will be based on the debate generated on Twitter during Alberto Fernández, president of Argentina, opening speech in the Legislative Assembly ordinary sessions and the appropriations made of it by the informative media institutions. The observation will try to describe the role of the laughable in the construction of events in hypermediated societies.
